We’re opening a new practice

A new practice that opens before patients can find it pays rent on empty slots. Google needs time to trust a new site and listing, and reviews take longer still.

The problem

The risks of opening unfindable

Commercial insurance credentialing often takes 90 to 120 days, and sometimes longer. Many owners spend that time on the build-out and leave the website and Google listing for the last week.

Then the doors open and the phone is quiet. A brand-new site has no history with Google, the listing has no reviews, and patients searching nearby find the practices that have both.

Where it goes wrong

Where new practices lose their first patients

No website yet

Patients who hear your name can’t check you out, and Google has nothing to rank.

No Google listing

You don’t appear on Maps, and nobody can leave a review.

Phones not ready

Early calls hit a voicemail box nobody checks during the build-out.

No way to book

Patients ready to come in on opening week have no time slot to pick.

Questions

Questions practice owners ask

What happens if we open without a website or Google listing?

Patients who search for your specialty nearby find the practices that already have both. Your first months run on referrals and walk-ins while the site and listing slowly earn trust with Google.

Can we create a Google Business Profile before we open?

Yes. Google lets a business set an opening date up to a year ahead, and the profile appears on Google about 90 days before it, so you show up on Maps before the doors open. You need a confirmed address first.

How long does a new website take to show up in Google?

New pages are often indexed within weeks, but ranking well for competitive searches usually takes months. That is why the site should go live well before opening day.

When is it too late to start?

It is never too late, but every month earlier helps. If you open in a few weeks, the listing, phones and booking can still be ready in time; search rankings will simply follow later.

Is there a program that handles all of this?

Yes. Tely First Partner is for practices opening in the next six months. The new practice page has the full pre-opening timeline and the application.

What does getting ready to open cost?

It depends on your specialty and what you already have. We go through it on a call, with your opening date in front of us.
